Bridge Street Farm & Sanctuary

We are a small co-housing village & farm located in South Brighton, between the estuary and the sea.

Our mission is to provide a safe place for women and children to live and grow. Our focus is creating connection and belonging for residents, developing our collective food resilience and improving biodiversity.

We have a 35 year history, a thriving food forest and a rebuild on the horizon.

Bridge Street Farm belongs to a small charitable trust with a 35 year history of helping women into homes. Over time, we have created a large, well-established garden and provided a nurturing home base for women and their children.

We are currently planning for our upcoming rebuild. As we do so, we are committed to foregrounding the importance of the natural environment, allowing the land to have its own voice. We are committed to strategies that increase biodiversity and food security, and enhance the wellbeing of our residents.

Bridge Street Farm is, and will continue to be, a place where nature and people thrive together.

“The support, reassurance and love that this community offers has made my life so much better.”
